InnerSloth began as a small indie game development studio founded by Marcus Bromander and Forest Willard, who met in college. Their partnership was complementary: Marcus was the creative designer and artist, while Forest handled programming. They were later joined by Amy, who contributed to UI design, promotional art, and task design for Among Us.
Marcus Bromander's background began on Newgrounds in 2007, where he posted interactive content and gained valuable feedback from the community. This early exposure to audience response would later inform his game design approach. Forest Willard previously worked at Microsoft before committing full-time to game development.
